David Brandt

At the age of 22 David moved from California to the island of Lana’i where he met and married his wife.  They moved to Makaha and quickly joined the surf contest circuit as a judge.  He has volunteered as a judge at the Buffalo Big Board Surfing Classic, Rell Sunn’s Menehune Surf Contest, Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational, Braddah Mel’s Canoe Surfing and Waterman Championship.  He also served on the nonprofit board for the Hawai’i Surfing Association which produces amateur surf competitions on O’ahu every year.  Founder and president of O’ahu Auctions and Liquidations, Dave actively supports many nonprofit and charitable organizations in Hawai’i.
